Overview
This document explains the backup method using RMGR (Recovery Manager) on the Standby server by using the RMGR_PRIMARY_SID parameter.
Method
1. Enter Primary Server Connection Information in tbdsn.tbr on Standby
Enter the Primary DB connection information for RMGR connection.
$ vi $TB_HOME/client/config/tbdsn.tbr
tibero7_p=(
(INSTANCE=(HOST=192.168.179.65)
(PORT=7070)
(DB_NAME=tibero7)

)2. Add RMGR_PRIMARY_SID Parameter to tip File on Standby
This parameter can also be applied dynamically.
$ vi $TB_HOME/config/$TB_SID.tip
RMGR_PRIMARY_SID=tibero7_p #-- Enter the Primary server SID as entered in tbdsn.tbr on the Standby server
$ cmrctl stop db --name tibero7_2_2 --option immediate
MSG SENDING SUCCESS!
$ cmrctl show

3. Dynamic Application of RMGR_PRIMARY_SID
Dynamically set the RMGR_PRIMARY_SID parameter on the Standby server.

4. Perform Backup Using RMGR on Standby
$ tbrmgr backup -w -o /home/rmgr1/backup
