Overview

This document explains the basic measures for the commonly occurring JDBC-12099 Error when using tbExport/tbImport.

Method

1. Occurrence of JDBC-12099 during tbExport/tbImport execution

1) Description

• Up to Tibero6, the external connection authentication timeout parameter (AUTHENTICATION_TIMEOUT) was set to a default of 10, which occasionally caused timeouts due to exceeding the connection authentication time.

• In Tibero7, the default value of this parameter has been changed to 100, preventing this issue from occurring. (If it occurs, please check for other causes such as network issues.)

  

2) Measures

• Change the AUTHENTICATION_TIMEOUT parameter value to 100.

• This parameter is a Dynamic Parameter and can be changed in real time.
