Disk udev Rule Configuration Method for TAC Setup in Cloud Environment

Overview

This document introduces the method for setting disk udev rules when configuring TAC in a Cloud environment.
When provided as a Block Storage Multi-attach service rather than iSCSI, the disk device name may change due to VM reboot, so it is necessary to set it using a unique Serial ID value.

 

Method

1. Command to Check Disk Serial ID

Command to check Serial ID: udevadm info -q property [Device Name]
Example) udevadm info -q property /dev/vdc
$ udevadm info -q property /dev/vdc

2. Set Rule in /etc/udev/rule.d
