Overview

This document guides the procedure for applying a license to TmaxTibero's Tibero product and verifying whether it has been applied correctly.
The main contents include precautions when transferring the license file, verifying the license directory, copying the license file and renaming it, 

tbboot -l command usage to check the application results.
It also explains common points applicable to both official and demo licenses, along with precautions to consider during the process.

Environment and Scope

• Environment: All platforms (AIX, HP, SUN, Windows, etc.)

• Scope: Tibero official and demo licenses

Common Points

• When transferring files via FTP, always transfer in ASCII mode.

• When saving the license file from webmail, save it as "All Files" rather than as a document format.

• The license file is actually applied at the time Tibero starts up.

• For demo licenses, even if the usage period expires, there is no issue using it unless Tibero is restarted.

• If license application fails, contact technical support at 1544-8629.

Procedure

Tibero License Application Procedure

1. Verify License Directory

Check whether the directory at the following path exists.

$TB_HOME/license

2. Copy License File

Using FTP or file copy commands, copy the license file to the directory below.

$TB_HOME/license

Example of official license file

Tibero_TIBRE_[hostname]_IssueDate.xml

Example of demo license file

Tibero_Demo_[hostname]_IssueDate.xml

3. Rename License File

Rename the copied license file as follows.

license.xml

4. Verify License

Run the command below and check the output to confirm whether the license has been applied.

tbboot -l
