Overview

This guides the construction of a 2-node TAC using an iSCSI target server as storage. By configuring a network-based shared disk volume, availability tests for various scenarios including ‘FC cable switchover’ can be conducted. The packages and features used are briefly explained, and the document is primarily composed of commands/scripts. IPs, hostnames, and other information are set arbitrarily and should be changed accordingly during actual deployment. Due to the inability to assign additional IPs, the setup was done using host-only and NAT switches.

Test Environment

The following hardware and software environment was used. This document is based on tests conducted in a virtual machine.

• Host server  :  CPU: Intel x86_64 Xeon E3-1231v3

• RAM: DDR3-12800 32GB

• OS: Ubuntu Linux 16.04.2

• VMware version  : VMware Workstation 12.5.7 build-5813279
• Guest server (Linux) ISO image : CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1708
